LEXINGTON, Ky. — Texas A&M volleyball gets its first look at Kentucky since the night the Aggies beat the Wildcats for the national championship, and this time the No. 19 Aggies have to do it on the road in Lexington, Ky., against the No. 4 team in the country.

First serve at Memorial Coliseum is set for noon Central on Sunday, wrapping up a two-match trip for A&M. The start was moved up so the match could air on national broadcast television.

The Aggies arrive at 12-8 overall and 5-3 in Southeastern Conference play after taking down Georgia in four sets on Friday, their second win in a row. Kyndal Stowers carried the attack again with 14 kills and 16 digs for her fourth straight double-double, and the senior’s dig total tied the best of her career. A&M also served the Bulldogs off the floor with a season-best nine aces, three of them from Megan Fitch. At the net, Kaia Castle had a season-high seven blocks, and Gabi Rodriguez dug 18 balls to lead everyone on the court.

Kentucky sits at 15-4 and 7-2 in the league but comes in after Tennessee rallied to beat the Wildcats in five sets on Wednesday after dropping the first two.

History favors the home side. Kentucky holds a 17-11 edge in the all-time series and is 10-2 against the Aggies in Lexington, and A&M has not won there since 2019. The most recent meeting went the other way, though. In last season’s NCAA final, A&M swept Kentucky 26-24, 25-15 and 25-20 to win the program’s first national title.

The match is the 29th meeting between the two programs.
