COLUMBIA, S.C. — No. 21 South Carolina brings a three-game winning streak into Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia on Saturday, November 7, for a homecoming date with Texas A&M that carries fresh College Football Playoff weight.
The Gamecocks are 5-3 overall and 3-3 in league play after beating Oklahoma 42-25 in which quarterback LaNorris Sellers passed for a season-best 301 yards with three touchdowns and ran for 96 yards and two more scores.
Coach Shane Beamer said a CFP ranking will not change the week’s plan and that every Saturday is a new season. He also called Texas A&M a big challenge and said South Carolina must play better than it did in Norman.
South Carolina is done with top back Matt Fuller until after the regular season ends; he broke a bone in his lower left leg against Oklahoma. Among the backs he led the way with 94 totes, 530 yards and five scores.
The Week 10 injury report also lists receiver Donovan Murph as questionable; he has 11 receptions, 205 receiving yards and three scores. Texas A&M lists leading rusher KJ Edwards (360 yards, two scores) and linebacker Noah Mikhail (36 tackles) as questionable.
The Aggies arrive 4-4 and 1-4 in league play off a bye after a 31-20 loss at Alabama. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. Eastern at Williams-Brice Stadium, where Texas A&M leads the all-time series 10-2.
