Born on December 15, 1945, in Enid, Oklahoma, Doug was the first child of Ivan and Venetta Riley. His journey from a small-town hero to a veteran and family man is one that deeply resonates with those who knew him.
Doug’s early years were marked by his leadership and athleticism, serving as a high school football captain. His commitment to his community was evident throughout his life and was further exemplified by his service in the Navy’s Sea Bees, where he bravely completed three tours in Vietnam. After returning from military service, Doug settled back in Bryan and dedicated his life to his family. He was married to Mary Riley for 57 years and together they raised three children: Yvette Wolf, Michael Riley, and Melissa Maier. Following the service, Doug will be interred at Greenview Cemetery in Greenview, Texas.
