A packed Kyle Field during a Texas A&M football game

News Summary

Texas A&M University has sold out season tickets for the college football season for the third consecutive year, highlighting strong fan support. Home games at Kyle Field, with its 102,733 capacity, have recorded impressive attendance, maintaining Texas A&M’s lead in the Southeastern Conference. Notably, student ticket sales also reached a new high, showcasing enthusiasm among the student body. As the program looks forward to new talent and strategic changes under head coach Mike Elko, excitement for the upcoming season continues to rise.

College Station, Texas – Texas A&M University has officially sold out season tickets for the 2025 college football season, marking the third consecutive year that season ticket sales have reached full capacity under head coach Mike Elko. The achievement reflects the continued strong demand from fans eager to support the Aggies as they prepare for the upcoming season.

With home games set to take place in the iconic Kyle Field, which boasts a capacity of 102,733, the stadium has seen total ticket sales surpassing 93,000. This robust turnout has contributed to an impressive home attendance average of 102,847 during the 2024 season, a record that has kept Texas A&M leading the Southeastern Conference in attendance for six years since joining the league in 2012.

Not only have season tickets sold out, but student tickets have also seen record sales, with over 38,000 passes purchased shortly after they became available on March 26. The high demand for student tickets is indicative of the enthusiastic support among the student body, adding to the already vibrant atmosphere during home games.

The 2024 season ended with the Aggies holding an overall record of 8-5, despite a rocky finish that saw them lose their last two games against rival teams, Texas and USC. Ole Miss showcased a strong start with a 5-0 record within the SEC; however, the late-season struggles diminished their overall standing. The coaching transition, with Mike Elko stepping into the head coaching role, presented both challenges and opportunities for the program during its inaugural season under his leadership.

In addition to the season ticket sales, Aggie football will also embrace digital ticketing starting this fall, allowing for streamlined access to games. For fans who missed out on season tickets, single-game tickets will be available for purchase starting July 17, providing another opportunity to support their team throughout the season.

Looking ahead, the Aggies are set to welcome 36 new scholarship players through their 2025 recruiting class and winter transfer portal, allowing for fresh talent to join the roster. This addition comes at a strategic time, as key returning players, including quarterback Marcel Reed and running back Le’Veon Moss, are expected to make significant impacts. Upcoming matchups for the 2025 season include games against UTSA, Utah State, and Notre Dame, alongside a highly-anticipated rivalry game against Texas.

Head coach Mike Elko is planning to take a more active role in the team’s defensive strategies during the upcoming season, particularly after the disappointing loss in the bowl game last year. This shift reflects Elko’s commitment to revamping the team’s approach on the field and enhancing their competitive edge.

The historical trends of attendance at Kyle Field further underscore the Aggies’ strong connection with their fanbase. Since 2006, the Aggies have consistently drawn more than half a million fans to their home games each season, solidifying Kyle Field’s place as one of the largest and most revered stadiums in college football.

As excitement builds ahead of the 2025 season, Texas A&M fans are gearing up for a promising year of college football, hoping to build on the momentum generated during Elko’s first year as head coach.
