LEXINGTON, Ky. — Texas A&M volleyball went into one of the toughest gyms in the country Sunday and left with a straight-sets win, beating fourth-ranked Kentucky 3-0 at Memorial Coliseum in Lexington, Ky.
Ranked No. 19, the Aggies won by scores of 25-20 and 25-23 before taking the third set 25-21. The match was a rematch of the 2025 national championship, and it was the second straight time A&M swept the Wildcats.
The result ended Kentucky’s 30-match winning streak on its home floor. It was also the first time in two years the Wildcats lost a home match without winning a set.
A&M is now 13-8 overall and 6-3 in SEC play, with three wins in a row. Kentucky slipped to 15-5 and 7-3 in the league. The Aggies have now beaten two top-five opponents this fall.
Kyndal Stowers paced the attack with 16 kills and added 10 digs for her fourth double-double in a row. Natalie Ring chipped in 12 kills, and Margot Manning ran the offense with 36 assists, a new career best for the senior setter.
Defense at the net made the difference. A&M finished with 10 blocks, and Taryn Morris tied her career high with five. In the second set, the Aggies stuffed Kentucky on back-to-back points to swing the frame, and Ring put away the final two kills to close it.
A&M opened the match on a 9-3 run and never trailed for long. In the third set, Kentucky pulled within 22-21, but the Aggies scored the last three points to finish the sweep.
The win comes one week after A&M ended a three-match skid. The Aggies return to Reed Arena in College Station on Friday, Oct. 30, for a ranked meeting with No. 9 Tennessee at 6:30 p.m., then travel to Austin to face Texas on Nov. 1.
